Punjabi chole is one of the most highly recognisable dishes originating from the Punjab region of India. It is prepared by cooking chickpeas in a tangy and spicy gravy consisting of tomatoes and other spices, and pairs nicely with our jeera rice, or your favourite Indian breads. Our instant Indian meal kit is ready to eat in just 5 minutes, and will bring you the warmth and familiarity of home cooked Indian food once you add water and microwave.

Great packaging and taste

The food gets prepared like magic. I ordered Pav bhaji, chole and Rajma. All the the 3 products taste good but I found taste of Rajma to be great. Usually I was using Haldirams ready to eat meals but due to my brother who eats Jain food(no onion garlic) I explored products of 5minutestodelhi and it turned out great. I will highly recommend people looking for ready to eat meals with no onion garlic option

Just Wow!

Have tried a lot of versions of ready to eat and insta mix products for dishes like chole, but have never felt as satisfied after trying these punjabi chole.
The technology used is preserving the original taste of the dish is mind blowing. For all i know i might actually be eating Chole made in punjab here in UK at my home on my desk watching a good movie.
Fantastic taste and freshness.
100% recommend.

Must try!

It was delicious, spicy but not overwhelming. It went great with some biryani and would go well with jeera rice. Not to mention the great protein hit too!

How it Works

Collapsible content

Cooked in India – how?

It’s simple! Once these meals are freshly cooked, the air and moisture are instantly removed (a process called ‘freeze-drying’), which keeps the taste and structure the same untilYOUrehydrate it with boiling water. Makes sense, right?

Do these meals contain any preservatives?

NO! Freeze-drying technology allows us to use 100% natural ingredients WITHOUT losing the taste, freshness and quality of your meals. This is the same technology that NASA use to keep food fresh when sending astronauts into space! Cool, right?

Is any cooking involved?

No, all you do is add boiling water, or microwave if you prefer (instructions found on the back of each packet). We would always recommend using a measuring jug to ensure the meal rehydrates correctly.

How long do meals stay fresh for?

When you receive your meals, you can store your meals in the cupboard and they will typically stay fresh for at least 4 weeks. Each packet has a best before date printed, so always refer to that as this may vary.
